ESPN Debut UFC card starting to take shape

While we still await the Headline act for ESPN’s debut night in the UFC, A fresh fight has been added to the Main Event.

Glover Teixeira set to take on Ion Cutelaba at UFC on ESPN+

The 39-year old Brazilian fighter, Glover Teixeira is all suited and booted to take on the 24-year old rising UFC star Ion Cutelaba in the first ever UFC
on ESPN+ fight card.

Although with the fight edging closer Glover (27-7 MMA) and currently ranked number ten on the official UFC light heavyweight rankings will surely have all he can cope with in this young hungry fighter Cubelaba.

Ion Cubelaba has been looking incredible in the octagon recently riding a two fight winning-streak with knockouts in both appearances happening in the first round. However, “The Hulk” debut didn’t go to plan back in 2016 at UFC Fight Night 89. Losing the bout by third- round submission to Jiu Jitsu black belt Misha Cirkunov.

Glover Teixeira a former title challenger who’s trying to make it back into the contention picture is coming off an unfortunate unanimous decision loss to Corey Anderson at UFC Fight Night 134. Before this loss he impressed many once again with a first round TKO victory over Misha Cirkunov at UFC on FOX 26 last December.

Teixeira’s wins and losses track record has seemed to be a bit of a roller coaster in his last ten fights (5-5) dating all away back to the UFC 172 card where he fell short to Jon Jones in 2014.

The event will take place on 19/01/19 at the Barclays Center, NYC.

What are your early predictions for this light heavyweight bout?
